It’s the middle of my work day and my insulin pump is alerting me to do a blood sugar check. My glucometer says 259, Wow that’s much too high!!! I had a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll with coffee. Yea I added 1 raw sugar packet in my coffee but how can this sugar spike be attributed to that? I bolused correctly or at least thought I did, maybe the roll had triple the amount of carbs? Who knows…
The moral of this story, always check your blood sugar today and everyday no matter what, cause type 1 diabetes is so unpredictable.
