J.J. Spaun Speaks About Health Issues, T1D Throughout PGA TOUR Career

Golfer J.J. Spaun Speaks about Health Issues and Type 1 Diabetes


Back In 2018, golfer J.J. Spaun speaks about health issues that arose, and was misdiagnosed with type 2 diabetes. After he switched to a diabetes specialist, and learning that he actually had Type 1 diabetes, Spaun’s new endocrinologist corrected his treatment. Spaun then went on to win his first PGA TOUR event, the 2022 Valero Texas Open.

Congratulations to J.J. Spaun on Winning the 2025 US Open golf tournament at Oakmont Country Club.
